Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American actress and singer. She is an Michigan native born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry when she was just a teenager. She went to her audition in 1992 and got an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent prior to her turning 13 and she was cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. As well as having private lessons, she began her acting career in the year 2000. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in her high school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her studies at the university to play the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit in Pootie Tang in 2001. However, her scene it was cut and her only appearance is in the end credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
